We recommend that you contact your local branch of JEWSONS , or any other Builders Merchants, and order your flooring directly from them.
They will deliver directly to your house at a very competitive rate. Our delivery modules are too small to accommodate the chipboard and insulation.
We recommend the following materials:
18mm thick T&G Chipboard flooring,
moisture resistant Size 2400 x 600mm per sheet each
25mm thick jablight polystyrene insulation Size 2400 x 1200mm per sheet each ( If you wish to insulate under the timber floor )
To calculate the amount of flooring sheets required:
Multiply the overall length of the conservatory by the width
Divide the result by 1.44, ( each chipboard
sheet is 1.44 square metres )
This will tell you how many
chipboard sheets you require. You need one sheet of Jablight
insulation for every two sheets of chipboard Example; Conservatory 3000mm
wide x 4000mm deep 3000 x 4000mm = 12 square
metres.
Divided by 1.44 = 8.33 sheets of chipboard Therefore, to allow for wastage you should
purchase 10 sheets of chipboard and 5 sheets of Jablight Cost of Chipboard is approximately
£4.50 per square metre Cost of Jablight is approximately £3.50 per
square metre Total cost of the above example is 14.4
square metres of floor and insulation at a total cost of approximately
£115.00 including VAT and delivery, or £9.60 per
square metre of the example floor.
For a simple estimate allow £10.00 per
square metre.
